PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
EVERBUILD® EVERFLEX® 115 GP Building Mastic is an oil-based compound intended for general pointing and sealing of many joints in traditional forms of construction.
EVERBUILD® EVERFLEX® 115 GP Building
Mastic provides an effective weatherproof seal.

USES
Perimeter pointing internally and externally around
doors and windows.

Adheres to concrete, brick, wood, metals and glass
without the use of a primer.

Typically used to seal composite sectional panels and
low movement vertical building joints.

CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES
Overpaintable.
Adheres to most common surfaces.
Semi drying - remains permanently plastic beneath
surface skin.
High solids formulation - excellent gap filling properties.
Good external weathering properties.
Flash Point 65°C
Slump No slump at 70°C when  placed in an 18 x 10mm aluminium channel positioned vertically
UV Resistance Mechanical properties will not change, however product may discolour.
Overpainting is recommended
Overpaintability Use conventional decorative paints to increase durability if required.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Movement Capability Low
Service Temperature -25°C to 70°C (90°C intermittent)
Joint Design Minimum width: 5mm. Maximum width: 20mm.
Minimum depth: 10mm. Maximum depth: 20mm.
For deep joints, reduce depth by using EVERFLEX® FIX AND FILL FOAM or a
suitable joint backer rod. All joints should be designed so that the seal is
placed in a position which does not retain water or form a water trap. Triangular fillets should be no less than 12mm across the face and should be
finished with a flat or convex face.


SYSTEM INFORMATION
Compatibility Can be used in contact with most building materials but should not be used against bituminous compounds.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The surfaces to be must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants. New concrete or mortar should be allowed adequate time to dry and mature.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
Cut the tip off the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut at an angle of 45° with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun. Best results will be obtained by keeping an even pressure on the trigger and keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being sealed. To ensure a proper bond, always smooth the sealant down with a spatula or piece of wood wetted with linseed oil or white spirit. An improved joint appearance can be achieved by placing masking tape to both sides of the joint, removing within 5 minutes of application.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Cleaner: white spirit.
LIMITATIONS
Do not use in areas likely to be exposed to solvents,petrols or oils.
Do not apply to fresh concrete or mortar. Allow 28 days to reduce surface alkalinity.
Do not use in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt - Use WEATHER MATE®.
May stain marble, slate or certain sensitive natural stones.
Do not use on uPVC, polycarbonate or acrylic sheet. - Use SILICONE 450.
Do not use in areas where movement exceeds +/- 5%.
The product takes 24 –48 hours to skin. It should not be used therefore in areas where it is likely to be subjected to interference or damage (eg floor joints). In such cases, use PURAFLEX 40.
