Bond It BDH040 is a premium-grade SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) latex admixture designed to enhance the performance of cement-based mixes. It improves adhesion, flexibility, water resistance, and overall durability. Ideal for use in rendering, screeds, patch repairs, and waterproofing applications.

Typical Uses

• Bonding new concrete or screed to old concrete

• Waterproofing renders, screeds, and repair mortars

• Improving adhesion and performance of tile adhesives

• Priming surfaces before tiling (especially gypsum/anhydrite floors)

• Repairing and resurfacing old concrete structures

Mixing Guidelines

• For mortars/renders: 5–7.5L per 25kg of cement

• For floor screeds:

  • Up to 25mm thickness: 5L per 25kg cement

  • Over 25mm: 2.5L per 25kg cement

• For bonding slurry (key coat): 1 part SBR to 2 parts cement or dilute SBR 1:1 with water

Coverage

• Approx. 30m² per 5L when used as a key coat (depends on substrate porosity)

Application Tips

1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or laitance.

2. Stir thoroughly before use.

3. Apply bonding slurry to substrate and let it reach tacky stage before applying mortar or screed.

4. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
